Offices at the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office will reopen to the public beginning at 8 a.m. today, according to Sheriff K.P. Gibson.
“This will include all departments and divisions,” Gibson said. “The only thing we’re asking is that anyone coming to the office avoid coming in large groups.’
Gibson also noted that anyone wishing to enter the building beyond the lobby will be required to wear a protective mask. “This is for our protection and their’s,” he explained.
The Sheriff’s Office, like most public buildings, was closed in conjunction with the social distancing and stay-at-home guidelines set forth by Gov. John Bel Edwards in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in Louisiana.
