On Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at 11:26 p.m., the Rayne Police Department responded to a stabbing incident at the intersection of Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive.
Officers found a 22-year-old black male unresponsive from multiple stab wounds. The subject was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Tylen "Tookie" Francis (18 years of age) for second degree murder.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
